Fluppy Clouds

As part of our fun with seasons in Week 6, last week we talked a lot about the four different seasons in our morning circle time so to celebrate our theme, we made...

FLUFFY WHITE CLOUDS
FLUFFY WHITE CLOUDS
FLUFFY WHITE CLOUDS

1. What a GREAT end to our busy week 6!!! This craft is definitely one of my favourites.
o

2. We had all sizes and shapes of cotton balls for our cloud.
.

3. Some of the children decided that holding a handful of cotton was easier than getting them from the pink basket (which still is a good way to promote fine motor skills) and worked their way much quicker than others.

4. While others focused their energy on getting the cotton balls from the baskets...
.

5. And this I just had to share ^__^
Student: No more clouds in the sky, Miss Lucky!
Me: Huh? What do you mean? *I looked out of the window*
Student: Look no more... *she showed me the empty pink baskets*
HAHA SO CUTE!

6. What a tender art and craft we've done this week. Now I let my children fly their imagination in their own room with their fluffy clouds hanging on the ceiling.

Just perfect!
.

I’ll be back soon to share some more school fun! Hope you’re having a great week!

Open Day (2013 - 2014)

I set my alarm last night for my usual 6am wake up time. And this morning the alarm went off and after hitting snooze a million times I started to do my usual self pep talk to get myself out of bed...and then I remembered something. It's our school's holiday -___- Haha!

Woo hoo! After two weeks of fully loaded school errands...

DAY OFF ON A MONDAY!

Hooray!

It was a really busy week filled with Open Day preparations. It was hella tiring but believe it or not...I enjoyed it!

...the day before our Open day :)

1. The day before our Open Day, we stayed behind and decorated till we drop. Thank goodness my colleagues are fun and crazy ^__^ We were ranting, venting and gossiping as we cut cut cut...♥♡ *Look at Miss Krys haha! Hair model much?*

2. I created this board activities (Miss Krys and Sharran hated the cutting and laminating part haha!) We are expecting to have babies from 14 to 18 months with their parents. Yes. Our Nursery classes accepts kids below 2 years old.

3. And here's ME being silly as we put up our Open day banner haha ^__^

4. Arrived school at 8:30am and I'm leaving at 8:30pm! Oh goshhhhhhhh!!! I really hope our school gets a lot of new applicants tomorrow or I'll go nuts haha ×__× ♥♡

...on our actual open day.

5. Balloons and gifts bags are all ready :)

6. Meet my Little Teachers who helped out :) They were Super!
Yamato and Kaoruko

7. My baby board activities in action!
They were perfect :)

8. There were a lot of changes in our curriculum this year and books were one of them.

9. And last but not the least, our principal surprised everyone with this pretty little baby ^__^
I'm in love with it!

Hope you enjoyed this post as much as I did :) Have a blessed week!

Piggy Mask

"The wolf huffs and puffs and the three little pigs exclaim by the hairs of their chiny chin chins..."

Just checking in today to share our art and craft for week 4. I have read the story of The Three Little Pigs to my babies this past week. Our Moral theme for the past four weeks was all about "Diligence" and this book represented it. Therefore, I decided to base our art on it → Piggy Mask.

It was a lot of work. I tell ya... The cutting was a killer! I couldn't feel my fingers after cutting out circles off paper plates. I swear... >__< I tried using a cutter but it wasn't good enough. Therefore, I had to use a pair of scissors instead.

Oh the things I do for my students ♡♥

Despite the hard work, it never ceases to amaze me how cooperative my kids are during our art and craft time. Love that!!!

I made them paint their own plate.

And draw their pig's nostrils.

Cutness overload ♡♥

SOOOOO CUTE!

This was, hands down, their favorite activity of the week. And I absolutely enjoy being crafty with my babies. Expect lots of cute art and craft this year ♡♥ I'm bound to make this year VERY colorful and crafty!

Until then, have a blessed new week everyone!!!

My Behavior Management (2013 - 2014)

Week 4 is officially over and boy, I'm exhausted! There has been so many changes with our school curriculum and almost all of the teachers in our school (and other four branches) are having difficulties. Breathe in and smile!!! That's what I've been telling myself lately. I say it would take us another two weeks or even a month to get used to all these changes. It's alright...lalala.

more on the subject

My behavior management for this new school year? It's pretty simple and so far...effective. It really works for me and it made learning more fun and smooth in my classroom. Allow me to share it with you ^__^

  • My star chart :) Good behavior gets a star at the end of the day. I've placed this next to our door so my students' can see it. This is definitely one of my cutest board in my classroom. My principal loves it.
Star Chart

  • Then there's my Behavior Meter ♡♥ This helps me monitor my student's daily behavior. Very good students will receive a star at the end of the day. This meter really helps to keep them motivated and well behaved. Works like magic!
PS: The clipart that I used is from Genki English :)

  • And lastly like any teacher, I LOVE when my students behaves well in class. My kids are only 3 to 4 years old and I believe that they all should be rewarded (not daily) but weekly. So I decided to reward their good performance in school on every Friday. The top 3 star students will get the chance to pick anything from Pinkabelle every Friday (she holds all of my weekly gifts).
PINKABELLE

Apart from being super cute, Pinkabelle plays various roles in our classroom. She sits and watches over our class to make sure they are doing the right thing. All of my kids think she's beautiful and kawaii (that means cute in Japanese). Pinkabelle is definitely a great addition to our class this year :) And I'm really hoping that Pinkabelle can be a good mentor to my students and help them with their
learning journey.

That's about it :)

How about you? What's your behavior management like?

Weekly Best Behaved Gifts.

Since my students are being trained to write in class, I decided to pick erasers as my weekly gifts. Today I bought some cute and fun erasers to put in Pinkabelle. Weekly best behaved students will get the chance to pick one. My students and I decided to call my classroom mascot → Pinkabelle

Ohhhhh they're all so colorful and cute ♡♥♥

I'm really hoping that these would encourage my students to try to write. Wish me luck ^__^
